Arterial and venous postmortem CT angiography of the thorax and abdomen. Coronal postmortem maximum intensity projections obtained after arterial (a) and venous (b) injections of contrast medium show a detailed depiction of the thoracoabdominal vasculature. Note that arterial enhancement decreases during the 15-minute interval between the two injections, which allows almost distinctly separate imaging of the arteries and veins.
